One thing I've noticed while looking for beginner HTML resources or activity ideas for students is that most tutorial sites have a single page on HTML and then days and days of CSS and JS.

That's kind of frustrating.

I had someone over here playing around with HTML for the first time this summer, and I thought the w3schools stuff wasn't bad.

I know its not a lot of help, but maybe some of your followers understand German.

The hands-down best ressource for learning HTML (and CSS) is SELFHTML. It has been a valuable information source for generations of programmers (started in 1995) and it is a pity that it is not available in English or even more languages.

The project is run by volunteers and there are simply not enough for translation work so no one is to be blamed. But maybe a machine translation is feasible in the future, considering this is a pretty formalised matter.

Anyhow - sorry for the not so helpful hint, but I think this ressource should be known more widely. I am not part of the project but have been a user for about 25 years.
