Playing around with the famous 10print BASIC oneliner on a compact #Macintosh - because why should only the 8-bitters have all the fun. Of course it's missing the appropriate PETSCII symbols and therefore does not look as good as on a #Commodore.

Maybe i can figure out how to replace the slashes with graphics. It won't be a oneliner anymore, but probably nicer to look at.

Auf Retrogerät wird das aber nicht laufen? Für modernes Zeug nehme ich dann doch lieber Python :)

Ich auch Python, aber die Idee hinter dem Projekt finde ich richtig. Kein Installieren, pip, pyenv Gewurschtel oder so, sondern wie bei den Retromaschinen einschalten (ok, Browser öffnen) und loslegen. Der Artikel unter endbasic.dev/about.html trifft genau die richtigen Punkte. Ist allerdings in Rust gebaut, also „unterhalb“ PowerPC gibt’s nix. 😉

With a few more lines of BASIC, the output looks much more like the original 10 PRINT program. It is no longer a oneliner though and very, very slow on 8 Mhz Compact Macs.
Still, I like it!
